Quadzero™ NL cruises into P&O's Pacific Dawn
The challenges
Pacific Dawn, owned and operated by P&O Cruises, recently underwent a comprehensive refurbishment complete with a nightclub located on the upper deck. The cruise ship accommodates 2,020 passengers and 660 crew members.
The solutions
After contacting an interior fit out company, P&O requested for Pyrotek products to be installed to assist with sound-proofing the nightclub. Quadzero™ NL was specified and placed in the surrounding walls of the nightclub.
Quadzero NL offers superior acoustic transmission loss through walls, ceilings and floors. With a fire-resistant foil facing, Quadzero NL meets the stringent fire safety requirements within the marine industry. Achieving the highest fire rating, complying with International Marine Organisation (IMO) standards for low spread of flame, the thin dense mass barrier was designed to absorb and reflect the sound energy.
